At Directflex, our goal is to provide the franchise and independent sales community with a powerful marketing tool to produce professional results that are as targeted as possible. The effectiveness of direct mail (and particularly postcard mailings) has been well documented; in fact, most independent sales people know it first hand. The problem is finding the time - valuable time - to design the card, and work with the local or online printing store, then hand labeling and completing the mailing. And even after a piece has been developed, finding the right audience is often neglected in lieu of speed and costs.
That is why we at Directflex set out to make it easier, faster, and less expensive. With the advancement of web-based application software, the challenge was to build a flexible application (later to be known as fleXengine) that was straightforward and intuitive for the user, but had the capability of linking into the new high-speed digital printing technology (Xerox iGen3) now available. That process began in earnest in 2005 with extensive design application development, followed closely by the effort at producing an online targeting tool that could arrive at detailed, nationwide sort results – results expected by direct mail professionals. When put together, the combination made for a collection "greater than the sum of its parts" not just in effectiveness, but in cost efficiency for the end-user as well.
Flexibility and quality in direct mail design, coupled with bull’s-eye targeting at a competitive price. That is our goal and commitment to our customers. We look forward to talking to you about your direct mail needs, and how Directflex and fleXengine can boost your market share through precision, high quality communications directed to the customers that matter.

Directflex and Cursivecode partner to develop Inclusive Online Direct Marketing Solution for Franchises and Sales Agents
Contact: info@directflex.com 1-206-284-9859
March 15, 2005// Directflex and Cursivecode have entered into an agreement to develop a web application tool for direct marketing. This tool, to be called "fleXengine", will provide franchises, their marketing staff and sales agents, with the ability to build, target and mail postcards from their work, home or laptop computers anytime, anyplace.
Customers signing up for the service will have the flexibility to choose and design a postcard using uploaded images or the images available in the client gallery, as well as pre-written or uploaded copy. In addition, customers can select any mailing list throughout the U.S., sorted by key demographics, or clients can upload their own list (excel format) via fleXengine. FleXengine is estimated to be complete in the first quarter of 2005.
Eric Cohen, President of Directflex stated, "This all-in-one process will save valuable time and will help clients increase their business. And it can also lead to significant marketing savings due to the centralization of the sales effort. Most importantly, it will save valuable time for the sales agent looking to expand their business." Directflex offers very competitive printing rates, and combined with the list and mailing services, can provide a substantial reduction in franchise marketing costs. Cohen added " Directflex eliminates the need for agency or third party management expenses - everything is done right on the website."
Rick Stoelinga, development partner with Cursivecode, said, "We are very excited to be onboard with this project. This is an advanced actionscripting application with a lot of moving parts, but is also an excellent example of the application breadth that can be built into websites today. This is really a multi-dimensional application - something that was unheard of even two years ago.
"Our focus at Cursivecode is on the end-user experience, and so the simplification aspect critical to the success of fleXengine is a shared goal. We are looking forward to working with the Directflex management in producing what we believe will be a 'first-of-it's kind' type of application out there."
